Ken Halfmann is a Wisconsin native and award-winning photographer. In a career spanning more than thirty-five years, he has worked as a newspaper photojournalist and as a freelance photographer and artist, photographing people, historic places and events, and natural landscapes in the Great Lakes region of the United States and beyond.

His work has been exhibited in the Wisconsin Arts Board's Department of Administration art gallery, former Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton's offices, the Madison Civic Center, the Elvehjem (now the Chazen) Museum of Art, the Steenbock Gallery and in private and corporate collections throughout the Midwest. In 2007 he was chosen as Artist in Residence for the Hiawatha National Forest in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Ken has been an active member of the PhotoMidwest (formerly, Center for Photography at Madison) since its founding. He and his wife Ann Lambrecht live in Madison, Wisconsin.
