An award-winning microbudget filmmaker since 2004, JWP loves stories that celebrate the bizarre and uncanny alongside the poetic and the prophetic. He lives in Southern California’s Inland Empire, a wonderland of surreal exurban sprawl and humiliating desert heat where crime stories seem to simmer under the scorching asphalt. When he isn't teaching literature, he crafts stories and cooks spectacular spaghetti sauce for his brilliant, gorgeous wife and cracklingly creative kids.
