Robert L. Fulton, Jr. was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA in 1969. In the meantime, he has lived in Texas, Belgium, Italy, and India. In 1999, he earned his PhD in Comparative Literature from The University of Texas at Austin. He has a great passion for languages and has studied nearly a dozen of them, including Sanskrit and Tamil. He owns The Language Doc, which is a translation and editing company, based in Antwerp, Belgium. He has taught courses in the Humanities at The University of Texas at Austin, L'Università di Bologna, Italy, and the Universiteit Antwerpen, Belgium, where he was a Fulbright Visiting Professor in British and American Literature. He has numerous published translations from Dutch, German, and Italian, as well as a book, When We Waken the Dead: Readings on Death and Memory in (James) Joyce, published by L'Università di Bologna. He is an avid swimmer, walker, and amateur photographer/artist, as well as a practicing Yogi. He absolutely loves spicy Indian food
