I’m a portraitist who hits the street.

My tool of choice is the camera, always analog, sometimes it has more than one lens, or a bulky viewfinder, or a massive light meter, and that makes people curious. I chose to use film because it forces my intention, because I thrive in limitations, and because the grain of traditional film has an organic quality that makes my heart sing. Also the entire process, from loading the canister, all the way to developing and scanning the images, and sometimes to making a darkroom print, is very manual and deeply meditative for me.
