Previously my background was in retail but I always nurtured a creative desire which eventually manifested itself in going to the University of Worcester in 2008 to study for a degree in graphic Design and Multimedia.
Not an easy thing to do at the age of 40 with two children, then aged 4 and 8.
It was at University that I discovered a passion for photography, I was lucky enough to select modules on studio, creative, experimental and visual effects photography and I became hooked!.

I emmersed myself in all things photographic and began a very steep learning curve.
In October 2010 I flew to Mexico to cover the festival known as El Dia De Los Muertos or Day of the Dead, a custom steeped in tradition where Mexicans dress in outrageously scary costumes to welcome lost loved ones for one night.
I used the trip to develop my documentary photography skills and incorporated it into a module for my degree.
