After leaving University in the mid 1970s Chris Hall worked in administration in the NHS, Stirling University and Lothian Regional Council for six years before setting up his own commercial photographic studio in Edinburgh.
Following a highly succesful career in Design and Advertising Photography which spanned more than twenty years, he taught part-time for several years at Edinburgh Napier University and Stevenson College of Education. Whilst teaching, the enthusiasm and energy of his students reignited the passion for the medium which had led him into photography in the first place.
'Faded Marks' is his first venture into gallery photography since abandoning commercial work and he is currently wallowing in this new found freedom of expression.
