Originally from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, I held various positions spanning 32 years in both general and mental health nursing. During the later years, I co-wrote scripts for the Trust’s Christmas pantomimes.
My first published work appears in 'Voices’, a book to mark the closure of the former West Riding Pauper Lunatic Asylum, latterly known as Stanley Royd Hospital. I took some of the photographs in this publication. I have also written and illustrated 'Poems From Walton', published by AuthorHouse 2006.
