Brett grew up in Rapid City, South Dakota making art, playing baseball and piano. He earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Northern Colorado and graduate degrees from Parsons School of Design and Rochester Institute of Technology. He has subsequently worked as a sculptor at Art Castings of Colorado and as an Art Director in Rochester, New York as well as forming a sign company in Rapid City and continuing to do freelance art and design. In his spare time he continues to play keyboards and harmonica with a variety of local musicians. He has also completed several bicycle tours, the most notable being a solo cross-country trip in 2010. Brett has been teaching graphic design at Pacific since 1999. The opportunity to work with students on the Art Car project was something quite special that we are all very proud of. In addition, working with Monica on this documentary book has extended the experience in a most rewarding way.
