As a kid I was obsessed with comic books and illustrated books. I would collect pencils and pens like they where treasure. So, it was no surprise to anyone that as a high school student I won several awards and then applied to art school. My education at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine arts was in the multiple approaches to traditional media. I became adept at printmaking, sculpture, and most of all painting. I went on to teach and curate after graduation. When I returned to school to receive a Master’s Degree that was when I realized my interests where too diverse to be limited to just doggedly refining one “style” of painting. Since graduation I have begun to work in every media, writing and producing books and zines, as well as developing installations.
