Monica is passionate about the protection of children. She arrived in Europe as a refugee from Apartheid in the early 1980s and continues her human rights work from her home in France.

She is the founder of I PROTECT ME, a non-profit organisation in South Africa which teaches children and women self-protection skills against violence.
