I am a ixth generation white African, born in Bulawayo in 1946 and I worked primarily in groundwater and mineral exploration in many parts of Africa. After leaving Southern Africa I worked in oil exploration in the Southern Sudan and then in in sales and marketing of geophysical equipment across the World. 1995 to 2000, I ran my own groundwater resource development consultancy in Botswana. I have two adult children and two teenage grandsons.
