The inspirations I derive from the Caribbean experience I have not captured anywhere else on the planet although I have tried and I am a well-seasoned traveler. So annually I make my spiritual sojourn to the islands of the Arawak Indians, where I capture the inherent beauty of existential struggle in all things living and non-living. My work is innately feminine for obvious reasons; I am a woman. When I capture flowers, intuitively I focus on the sensuality in their reproductive components and interactions with things such as insects & architecture. My architectural background is the explanation for my fascination with deteriorating structures. The beauty I see in eroding paint and termite infested wood is symbolic of the enlightenment I find in the Caribbean struggle. My education is self-taught and includes many years of experience exploring my cameras. I predominantly shoot with a Canon SX10 IS, I also use a manual Canon EOS Elan II and a Canon 40D
