Andrew Edlin was born in Brighton, England in 1954. He has been writing since the age of 8, first on an old Underwood typewriter, and holds world records in one-fingered typing speed. His varied influences include Damon Runyon, Christopher Priest, Mark Helprin, Dornford Yates, Tolkien, Frank Herbert, Conan Doyle, Hermann Hesse, and Jack Vance. He is currently working on 'Journal of an Undead Sheriff', about a small town lawman who fakes his death for the insurance, and 'Omelet' a comedy about a disastrous high-school performance of Hamlet (based on his own experience).
