Jim and June purchased an inn in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania in 1976 and raised their family there while operating the country inn.
After eleven years they retired from there and opened a smaller restaurant in Danville, PA called the Voice of the Turtledove. Jim worked for Allstate Insurance before going into the inn business. June and Jim took turns cooking at their inn and then Jim became the chef in Danville. They still love cooking although now they count calories. "Takes some of the fun out of it, but oh, well."
June has written seven novels - the first to be published e-book by Desert Breeze Publishing House in September, 2011.
