'Backward Glances', is part of an ongoing personal photography project. During her 2011 trip to Poland, the author revisited and took pictures of places that she photographed 30 years earlier. The new, color images were then merged with the old black and white photos to create a remarkable document of continuity and change. 'Determination for Democracy' is a collection of poignant black and white photographs, documenting people and events of Poland’s Solidarity movement of 1980 and 1981. The photographs depict people from different walks of life in their struggle for dignity and human rights.
