Über den Autor
With a background in painting and commercial photography, Art Murphy embraced the "digital darkroom" 20 years ago, replacing his view camera and darkroom with Photoshop - as a digital photographer shooting in Manhattan and retoucher and printer for top international clients and fine artists. Art has always been interested in the past, focusing on subjects such as the long abandoned Ellis Island (before renovation), the Cloisters (a year long study for the Metropolitan Museum of Art), and industrial archaeology studies of abandoned sites throughout the Northeast. In his latest leap into a most distant past, inspired by nature, Art has focused his attention on 380 million year old fossils found in abundance around his home in Catskill, New York.
