The idea for my twelve day solo camping tour of Scotland originated one weekend when I visited The English Lake District. I had been camping many times before over the years, my first solo camping trip was to the Lake District the previous August. I knew both the camp site I had chosen to stay on and my Kyham tent very well. On that trip I had planned staying for a couple of nights to see how I felt about the experience, I ended up staying almost a week.
