Über das Buch
This book is a tribute to the things I saw, the people I met and the incredible period in history when I called Egypt home. The country continues to transform and now that I have left, I watch with concern and optimism. But part of me will always remain, the part that is still driving down a sun baked desert road listening to the sounds of Misr.

Über den Autor
Jesse Sharratt is a native of Prince Edward Island, Canada. He has travelled extensively around the world. Following his graduation from Dalhousie University, where he studied Political Science and Philosophy, he lived and travelled through Australia. As the Arab Spring began to unfold, Jesse was captivated by the expression and desire for democratic reforms across the Middle East. Pursuing a job as a Social Studies teacher at an international school in Cairo allowed him to travel throughout Egypt and learn about the rich culture. Following the completion of his time in Cairo, he has moved back to Canada for the interim. This book is made in reflection on the experience of living in Egypt from January 2012-July 2013.
