Lindsay Ferreira was born in Tucson, Arizona and was raised in Arizona and Utah. She is of Cherokee decent but admits the Hopi, Navajo, Cheyenne and Ojibwae cultures have greatly influenced her life, spirituality and artwork.

Ferreira is an artist whose life long discipline, love of hands-on creating and innovative style is taking her to the forefront of her profession. Using her broad knowledge of all things glass, Ferreira turns her dynamic contemporary mixed-media and glass sculptures into unexpected masterpieces, giving her the ability to ‘stand alone’ in the fine arts industry.

From the age of five Ferreira studied art beginning with oil paint on canvas. She also studied ceramics, wood carving, classic piano and guitar, dance and enjoyed flying lessons with her father, an accomplished and award winning pilot. In her early twenties Ferreira completed a five-year apprenticeship with a glass master and has now been working with glass for more than twenty years.
