Claudia Wiens

Born in 1972, Claudia Wiens studied art history and then photo-design in Dortmund, Germany. During her studies she relocated to Egypt in 1999 to realise her own photo projects and in 2003 her first book, Coptic Life in Egypt, was published. Claudia Wiens now works as an international photojournalist based between Cairo and Istanbul for international publications, aid organisations, museums and cultural institutes. She is represented by Getty Images /Global Assignments.
