Über das Buch
In Rokkasho, students begin to seriously study the English language when they enter junior high school. As a creative writing project, third year students in Rokkasho village were asked to introduce their village to the world. As a result, the essays collected in this book are the culmination of two years of studying English. The students have successfully demonstrated their ability to communicate and express their thoughts using English, a secondary language to Japanese junior high school students. For the students, this book is a huge achievement and milestone in their English language studies.
To share their village, schools, and everyday lives with the world, Rokkasho's students have assembled this book of essays, photographs, and drawings.
