Although I have a long association with the CSS Acadia, my working career, as a projects manager for a major oil company distanced me from the sea and ships. However, I have "messed around in boats" since childhood and currently sail in Halifax on Aurora, a 36 foot sloop. Other interests range from HO model train collecting, growing grapes for homemade wine, volunteering and travelling with my wife Kay.
