Piney Wood Atlas is a collaborative project between artists Alicia Toldi and Carolina Porras Monroy and was formed out of a desire to help spread the word about the magical world of artist residencies. Through a series of regional road trips, they travel across the country unearthing small, emerging and unconventional artist residencies.

This book profiles 10 alternative residencies from two road trips across parts of the Southeast. It also includes conversations, contributions from artist and facilitators, as well as fun stops along the way.
