A Note to My Readers:

The best writing inspirations come in the quiet moments when the world is between waking and dreaming. "When the Rain Comes to Stay" was born out such a magical night when a thought found its way into my dozing mind: our environment is a powerful conduit for the imagination. I quickly scribbled down the thought that would become the downpour of inspiration for my second book.

The flow of the poetic form is meant to give the reader the illusion that they are being gently lulled to sleep by the ebb and flow of free verse. Only to be gently awakened by bursts of haiku that were specifically curated to encourage readers to pause, breathe, and give space to their own “faraway thoughts”. While my book is meant to be consumed in one sitting, it is not meant to be consumed quickly; it is designed to inspire its readers to slow down and read with intention and thoughtfulness.
