Photographer Stuart Gow made this series of photographs about North Sacramento between 2023 and 2024.
Formerly its own independent city, North Sacramento is located just on the opposite side of the American River from the California State Capitol.
Gow found 'I wish you would love me again, sprayed across a fence in black paint and found them to be descriptive of the area's environment so adopted them as the title of his series.
This abridged edition of the series has been published to accompany his exhibition of photographic prints from the series at Never Board Street Art Store in North Sacramento in August 2024.
