Über das Buch

For the last few years from Twelfth Night onwards I can be found lurking in some unlikely places - around dustbins, recycling areas and back alleyways. These aren't my usual hangouts, but it's where the abandoned Christmas trees are.

I find something very poignant about these abandoned trees

especially when you consider that a few days earlier they were the glamorous focal point of the festive home, festooned with extravagant decorations, lights, edible goodies and home to mountains of presents.

This book is dedicated to the Abandoned Christmas Trees of 2009.

I've always taken pictures, always had one (or more) cameras of various types about my person. It doesn't feel right to go out with something to capture images, even if it's a rather unsatisfying mobile phone. I have always wanted to make books and this site gives me the chance to experiment with my favourite themes and subjects. I have a shop at www.eyeshoot.etsy.com for fine art prints, cards, posters and more and not forgetting the all important social media locations where you can follow my goings on: FACEBOOK - http://www.facebook.com/eyeshootphoto TWITTER - twitter.com/eyeshoot INSTAGRAM - eyeshoot NEWSLETTER - http://eepurl.com/cZi0Y
