Irene Minor (Kiki) Smith is a French artist, who came to the United States as a child.

Her early ballet training was with Helene Platova. She continued with Vladimir Dokoudovski, Nina Stroganova and Edward Caton. She studied in the School of American Ballet with Anatole Obouhoff, Pierre Vladimiroff and Yurik Lazowsky, then in the Ballet Theater School with Valentina Pereyaslavec in France with Olga Preobrajenska and Boris Kniazeff. Kiki Smith started her professional career in the Slavenska-Franklyn Ballet Co. learning from Frederick Franklyn, Alexandra Danilova, Igor Youshevitch and Alicia Alonso. She joined the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and toured the United States. She performed in New York in "Oh Captain", "All American" "Carousel", "Kiss Me Kate" and "My Fair Lady".

Kiki has taught ballet for many years at the Fleming School and the Lyçée Français de New York. She is currently based in New York and continuing her interest in fine arts.
