Position Summary:

Blurb is searching for a dynamic analyst to own the future of our digital marketing analytics. This individual will be tasked with leading our marketing analytics to help drive customer acquisition and retention as well as growing our web analytics capabilities. On the marketing side, you’ll lay the foundation for how our Marketing team defines customer segments and evaluates the success of campaigns and promotional efforts. On the web analytics side, you’ll support the company in capturing and analyzing web data to enhance the customer experience. You will proactively provide insights and identify opportunities for optimizations and growth. You have a passion for using data to drive business decisions and can dive into complex business questions with an innate curiosity and desire to solve problems.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead the vision, strategy and execution for building out best-in-class marketing and web analytics programs; this is a chance to truly leave your mark and make a lasting impact while putting us on the path to automation and self-service
  • Develop and maintain automated dashboards and reports to monitor the performance of our marketing channels, campaigns and website
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving the effectiveness of our marketing efforts and website
  • Work in a number of different database environments, retrieving, analyzing and aggregating information for Executive reporting.
  • Own analytics tools (Tealium, Google Analytics, etc.), using it to answer key business questions while monitoring data integrity and validity
  • Manage ad hoc analysis and deep dives for Marketing, and C-Staff teams, including things like LTV analysis, customer segmentation, KPI analysis, A/B testing, et al
  • Help identify root causes and recommended solutions, presenting results in meaningful terms and telling stories with data
  • Oversee data collection and integration for optimized marketing efforts, defining and assessing KPIs by channel

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience;

Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience with marketing analytics (strong knowledge of media performance measurement, insights and optimization) and web analytics highly desired
  • Experience with at least a few specific channels (e.g. Paid Search, SEO, Email, Display, Affiliates, Content, Mobile, Loyalty, CRM, etc.) and familiarity with marketing performance metrics (ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPC, CPM, etc.) required
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing, preferably using Optimizely or other testing tools required
  • Experience with tracking tag implementation, preferably using Tealium and Google Analytics or other tag management tools required
  • Experience with Tableau preferred

Skills:
  • Proficiency using SQL for extracting data from disparate sources and synthesizing actionable business insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize based on business impact
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and model data
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Strong project and time management skills, with impeccable attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel

Other Skills Desired:
  • Knowledge of website technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Understanding of data mining and statistical concepts
  • Experience with marketing channel attribution
