Position Summary:

Blurb is seeking a Manager of Digital Marketing who will oversee existing digital marketing programs including display prospecting/retargeting (including paid social, mobile and video ads) and affiliates, as well as lead the effort to test and scale new/emerging digital programs, including a referral program, podcasts and digital radio. You will be responsible for trafficking advertisements, account management, optimizations and reporting for paid ad campaigns. We’re looking for a precise, detail-oriented individual that loves delivering high quality work. You will be the go-to source for all online campaign data and analytic insights in collaboration with multiple agencies to execute and continually improve the campaign process.

You report to the Director of Acquisition, and work collaboratively with the growth, brand and creative teams, as well as our agency partners. You will assist the Director in advising and inspiring the team to do their best work and achieve meaningful results.

Essential Functions:
  • Primarily responsible for co-managing and owning Blurb’s agency relationships for display, paid social, affiliates and referral program
  • Deliver on goals, objectives, and KPIs, meeting Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) targets to acquire customers at a profitable cost
  • Oversee and report on the success of digital campaigns and provide program changes or recommendations
  • Act as subject matter expert for all things campaign management and campaign execution
    • This includes best practices, creative QA, and delivery troubleshooting
  • Responsible for implementing new process and policies to minimize turnaround time on campaign optimization requests
  • Lead weekly status meetings to review all campaigns and ensure optimal monetization and execution
  • Collaborate with Blurb creative team on campaign asset requests, develop creative briefs and main point of contact for campaign issues when necessary
  • Oversee a multi-million-dollar marketing budget, determine the right investment allocation by channel to drive maximum results, and localize efforts across all major markets (US, UK, CAN, AUS, FR, DE, NL, SP, IT)
  • Collaborate with Retention Marketing to increase LTV and leverage CRM data in Acquisition Marketing channels, including display retargeting, lookalike targeting, dynamic ads, remarketing lists for search ads, etc.
  • Drive other projects as needed by executives or as business needs change

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications: Degree in Marketing, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Statistics or similar discipline

Skills:
  • 3 years’ experience in direct response experience (1-2 years direct response experience, may be acceptable for exceptional candidates with demonstrated ability to exercise the discretion and independent judgement required for this position)
  • Familiarity with data visitation platforms and technologies including Tableau, Teailum or similar systems
  • Good project management, organizational skills and strong attention to detail is a must
  • Strong skills with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Ability to operate effectively in a very fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environment
  • Working knowledge of project management systems, including JIRA and the Agile process a plus
