Nancy Abel grew up with her five brothers and one sister in the Australian suburb of Mascot, New South Wales. She started writing poetry and short stories when she was a young girl. She married her husband Nevill in 1958 and loved him until he passed away in 2017. Nancy is mother to children Debbie, Kim and Paul. She has four grand children and a dog named Honey. In 2008, Nancy was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Despite the prognosis she continues to write poetry and short stories. Nancy celebrates her 80th birthday in October 2018. This is her first published collection.
