Über das Buch
In November of 2017 my husband and I found ourselves perusing the kennels at an animal rescue shelter. We were there with the intention of finding and bringing home a "smallish" dog. What we found instead was an immense beast sitting at the back of his kennel with a lampshade collar encircling his enormous head, and looking rather unaffected by the attention he was not receiving--I read somewhere that large black dogs are the hardest for the shelters to adopt out. Needless to say, we adopted the colossal creature. Over the span of time that the giant has lived with us, we have been witness to an untamed brute--whose actions resembled that of a wild rodeo bull--evolve into a semi-disciplined pet with the poised movements of a trained rodeo bull.
