Nola helped the students of four third grade classes focus on descriptive writing. Each class was assigned a season of the year. First, the students viewed photographs of Nola and depicted what activities she enjoyed doing throughout their designated season. Next, the students were given a specific photograph to attend to. Then they worked in cooperative groups to prewrite, draft, edit, revise, and produce a final copy of their descriptions. The teachers and students worked together to connect all of the writing, so the final product would be smooth and enjoyable for its readers.
The students had a blast creating this book. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Happy Reading
