Jenna Mulhall Brereton is a photographer, writer, and international development professional living near Philadelphia. The photographs in this essay were taken in Uganda in 2005 while Jenna was participating in a Maine Media Workshops master class in Kampala and Rakai. There, she photographed the work of community-based and international organizations that address the needs of those affected by HIV/AIDS.
